Daffy's limited edition red gooseberry gin was made in collaboration with Red Magazine.
This is a small batch 41.4% ABV gin, infused with whole fresh un-pressed Scottish red gooseberries. This gives the liquid its distinctive colouring.
The liquid is not a liqueur with added sugar but a classic London dry gin with some natural fruit sugar from the red gooseberries.
The colour may vary from bottle to bottle but the taste will remain the same.

At Rademon Estate Distillery we are proud to be Northern Ireland’s First Award Winning Craft Distillery.
Our small batch philosophy ensures that every aspect of our gin meets our exacting vision. Everything is crafted and perfected by hand.
Shortcross Gin was created to be a classical Gin with a unique twist; best described as floral meadows, wild berries and grassy notes. It is highly aromatic with an exceptionally long and smooth finish.
Our Still was custom made to our bespoke specification by the oldest family of German Still makers, so we like to think of her as something very beautiful and special. We aim to do things a little differently so we have combined the best of old & new technology; with a 450L Copper Pot Still & two Enrichment Columns. Our Enrichment Columns are truly special, with each housing seven individual bubble plates enabling us to set just the right level of reflux when we distil which helps to create a smooth and aromatic spirit.
We aspired to create something unique that was reminiscent of our surrounding forests and gardens at Rademon Estate. Dense, lush, verdant and alive with nature, it's a playground of botanicals, from which we draw our inspiration for Shortcross Gin. We forage wild clover giving a delicate essence of wild meadows. Elderflowers & elderberries combine to create both uplifting floral notes and smooth sweet flavours, while our local green apples contribute fresh aromas and lively sweet notes. Our final recipe remains close to our heart but we include Juniper, Coriander, Orange and Cassia to which we blend with our very own pure fresh water drawn from our historic estate well.

Daffy is the Goddess of Gin. First written about in the 1700's Daffy is the essence of great gin, a lover of life who has transcended the decades. Daffy as painted by Robert McGinnis is the visualisation and personification of the taste, charm, sophistication, complexity and depth of our gin.
Daffy's Small Batch Premium Gin is made with grain spirit from northern France, which is then distilled using an ancient copper pot whisky still. The Scottish distillers use a selection of eight botanicals for Daffy's Gin, including juniper, Lebanese mint, coriander, angelica root, Spanish lemon and orange peels, cassia bark and orris root. It has been bottled at a very specific 43.4% ABV, as the distillers believe this to be the perfect strength for their expression - not excessively punchy, but with enough power behind it for balance and flavour.
Daffy’s Gin has been crafted to be enjoyed straight over ice like the finest of malt whiskies, to make the ultimate D&T, the very best of Negroni and other great cocktails.
Nose: Vibrant, juicy orange notes burst forth, with well-rounded earthy juniper and cool, refreshing hints of mint.
Palate: A good balance of citrus and juniper, with chewy fruit sweets and coriander coming through clear.
Finish: Angelica and sweet lemon are rather pronounced on the finish.

Islay Dry Gin
The Botanist is the only super premium, artisanal dry gin distilled on the Hebridean Island of Islay.
Having a core of the nine classic gin botanicals, the Botanist is then uniquely augmented by 22 hand foraged island botanicals, and simmer distilled, under very low pressure by master distiller Jim McEwan for a rare explosion of flavour.
Nose: Big notes of citrus, delicate menthol and flowers everywhere!
Palate: Cool at first. It quickly mellows out, warmth growing with citrus keeping it fresh throughout.
Finish: Long, with a good spice!

Wisconsin, America
Death's Door Gin has a surprisingly simple botanical mix of organic juniper berries, coriander and fennel.
Unusually, Death's Door Spirits make their own base spirit for their gin, from a recipe of 60% wheat grown on Washington Island, Wisconsin and 40% malted barley from Chilton, Wisconsin. This lends a touch of vanilla/toffee to the nose and a soft, creamy sweetness to the gin.
Death's Door Gin has a full London Dry flavour without all of the bitterness because of the distillation process and the grains that are used.
The name 'Death's Door' is taken from the straight of water which the wheat and juniper used in production must cross on it's journey from the fields of Washington Island to the distillery in Madison Wisconsin.
Nose: Aromas of creamy vanilla toffee followed by peppery spice and fresh juniper and anise.
Palate: A big, peppery juniper hit with notes of wood resin, citrus and spice carried on the soft, creamy spirit.
Finish: Long with a cooling anise character.

London, England
A strikingly smooth, small-batch English distilled classic London Dry gin.
Fifty Pounds Gin is produced by a highly respected, family-owned distillery located in the south-west of London, with a tradition of more than two centuries behind it. It is made in a legendary John Dore still where the finest, four times distilled neutral grain spirit is combined with the perfect balance of botanicals which are sourced from all over the world. Made in batches of around 1000 bottles at a time and bottled at 43.5% abv, Fifty Pounds is the quintessential London Dry gin.
It's name comes from the 'Gin Act of 1736', which was brought about by George II to curb the social degradation caused by the excessive production and consumption of 'gin', which had been encouraged by William of Orange, the previous monarch. The Gin Act of 1736 taxed gin at 20 shillings per gallon and made selling gin without a 50 pound annual license illegal. Fifty Pounds Gin therefore takes it's name from this act to show it's classical London Dry style and heritage.
Nose: Very classical with lemon, lime and piney juniper dominant.
Palate: Silky smooth, crisp and fresh with a tickle of pepper.
Finish: Long and fresh with floral notes balancing the spice.

Kerry, Ireland
Dingle Original Gin is made in small batches of 500 litres.
In terms of its broad style, Dingle is a London dry gin but the unique character and flavour comes from our painstaking and original choice of botanicals. We use, amongst other botanicals, rowan berry from the mountain ash trees, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn and heather for a taste of the Kerry landscape.
It’s a formula unknown elsewhere and is calculated, amongst other things, to create some sense of place and provenance, what winemakers might call the gout de terroir. The spirit is collected at 70% abv and then cut to 40% abv using the purest of water which we draw from our own well, 240 feet below the distillery.
Peter Mosley sums up Dingle Original Gin's unique character in a few words:
“The uniquely Irish botanicals give a fabulously fresh, floral character that perfectly balances the traditional juniper. But, to be honest, you really have to taste it for yourself.”
