Named after Barney Hughes, the Belfast master baker, the creator of the Belfast Bap and 19th Century philanthropist. Headless Dog is a bright amber ale, smooth initially with a slight hint of the Munich malt coming through from the grist. This is complemented well by the stronger refreshing taste from this well hopped beer. Named after the unusual mural of a headless dog at the front door to the brewery.

Belfast Blonde is a wholly natural blonde beer with a clean and refreshing character, derived from the use of Lager Malt along with a small proportion of maize. The Mixture of continental and native varieties of late and early addition hops please both the nasal senses and the taste buds.

The brewery, which originally operated in Hercules Street in Belfast between 1845-1855 was widely believed to be the earliest brewery in the city, when there were 13 breweries in Belfast.
The re-borne Hercules Brewing Company uses some of the old traditions of brewing to create a small batch brew lager called Yardsman. The small batch brew is created with the best of local ingredients and filtered through Irish linen. Range includes Lager, Belfast Pale Ale and Indian Pale Ale.
