Region: Tuscany Winery: Badia di Morrona
The Badia di Morrona lies in the heart of the Colline Pisane between Florence and Pisa and is one of the four ‘badie’ or monastries founded by the Counts of Fucecchio. Badia di Morrona dates back to the end of the XI century when the Badia was assigned to the Benedictine order and then in the 1120 given to the Camaldolesi monks.
This modern Chianti is produced in Pisa lands.
A nice daily wine, very versatile with different food matching. Mature tannins and a balanced acidity are its strong points.
Ageing in stainless steel and concrete vats support and preserve the Sangiovese fruity personality.
