Launched in 2015 by Cheltenham based company Off-Piste Wines, Most Wanted Wines has just one simple vision: to get everyone enjoying the world’s most wanted wines.

Sourced and blended by Master of Wine Clem Yates from wineries across the globe, the range takes in some of the most wanted grapes and regions and makes them accessible to everyone. Some of these might be familiar to the wine drinker – Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc for example. Others might be an introduction to something a little different – Grüner Veltliner from Hungary anyone? They’ve all got one thing in common – they’re easy to get and easy to love. There are no eye-watering prices here – the range is priced to retail from £7-£10 per bottle -  just delicious wines that will appeal to all wine drinkers.

The range is expanding rapidly as Most Wanted discovers exciting new grapes and regions. Among the whites, you’ll find Spanish Albariño, the aforementioned New Zealand Sauvignon and Hungarian Grüner Veltliner, plus German Riesling and Australian Chardonnay. The reds include South African Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, New Zealand Pinot Noir, Australian Shiraz and a recent addition – fruity Californian Zinfandel.

Most Wanted dispense with all that pretentious wine-speak in favour of a no-nonsense approach to describing what’s in the glass. There’s not much talk about wonderful bouquets and firm tannins here, just straightforward descriptions and easy food pairings that will help you get the most out of what’s in the bottle. After all, that’s what’s most important isn’t it?

And it seems the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. The success story continues with a haul of medals in the 2018 International Wine Challenge - Silver medals went to Most Wanted Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Grüner Veltliner, with a Bronze medal for Most Wanted Malbec. Most Wanted Pinot Noir and Albariño also found fame on Saturday Kitchen in the run up to Christmas, recommended by wine expert Susie Barrie MW. Next stop? World domination!

You can purchase the full range of Most Wanted 75cl wines through Drinks Inc. in Northern Ireland.
