Meet Ayen Salcedo – Trading Assistant at Drinks Inc.
Ayen joined Drinks Inc. in January 2025 after graduating in 2024. She’s already making an impact in the trading team and is excited to grow with the company.

How long have you worked for Drinks Inc.?

I joined Drinks Inc. in January of this year, following my graduation the previous summer. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m looking forward to growing with the company and being part of what’s to come.

What does your role involve and who do you work closely with?

As a Trading Assistant, I handle lots of different tasks to keep everything running smoothly. I’m responsible for updating the price file, setting up new product lines, and pulling together stock reports that are required by the trading managers and supply chain. I also help look after the Shopify platform with telesales, providing the product info and images before they go live. Alongside this, I handle admin and data tasks like answering queries, keeping records up to date, often communicating directly with suppliers to make sure everything is accurate to support the trading managers.

How long have you worked in the drinks industry?

I’ve been involved in the drinks industry since 2021, starting out as a student working in popular Belfast city centre bars and restaurants such as Revolucion de Cuba and Ora Wine and Tapas, serving a range of cocktails, wines and everything in between. Since then, I have built on that experience and developed an understanding of both the customer side and the wider drinks industry.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I like to keep active – whether that’s going to the gym or boxing. On weekends, I’m usually with friends trying new brunch spots and going for walks. But if it’s a race weekend – I’ll be following the Formula 1 action. During my downtime, I enjoy listening to podcasts or reading books.

What is your favourite Drinks Inc. product?

Drinks Inc. have a wide variety of drinks to offer, personally I enjoy a cocktail so probably an RTD such as an AU Vodka can or a Buzzball, both have a great selection of flavours to choose from.
